Regular Season Round 11: Zabok - Zadar 66-80

Premijer Liga top team - Zadar (9-2) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked KK Zabok (4-6) 80-66. Zadar dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to KK Zabok's 22 and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They outrebounded KK Zabok 41-19 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Chinanu Onuaku (208-96, college: Louisville) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import swingman Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 13 points. Forward Antonio Crnjevic (202-94) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and center Mladen Primorac (210-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains first place with 9-2 record. Loser KK Zabok dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Zadar will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KK Zabok will play against H.Analitica (#12) in Zagreb and hope to secure a win.
