Regular Season Round 6: Granada - Girona 83-60

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Granada (5-1) crushed at home 10th ranked Girona (1-5) 83-60. They outrebounded Girona 34-16 including a 24-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Granada shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was point guard Lluis Costa (187-93) who scored 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American-Finnish forward Alex Murphy (206-93, college: Northeastern) chipped in 22 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Albert Sabat (181-85) who recorded 14 points and swingman Aleix Font (196-98) added 12 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Granada moved-up to second place in Gold. Newly promoted Girona keeps the tenth position with five games lost. Granada's next round opponent will be league's leader HLA Alicante on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Girona will play against Real Murcia (#4) and hope to win that game.
