Brasilia used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Sao Paulo 84-78 on Saturday night. Power forward Germerson Barbosa (205-93) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Caio Torres (211-87) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Brasilia players scored in double figures. Argentinian center Gustavo Aguirre (204-53) responded with 27 points and the former international Guilherme Teichmann (204-83, college: Tulsa) scored 6 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Pinheiros' coach David Pelosini rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Brasilia will face Corinthians in Sao Paulo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
