Important game to mention about took place in . Leader Unicaja (5-0) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Estepona (3-2) 57-54 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Estepona. Unicaja forced 19 Estepona turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Taja Cole (173-97, college: Virginia Tech) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Her fellow American import center Nneka Ezeigbo (188, college: RMU) helped adding 9 points and 9 rebounds. Unicaja's coach Lorena Aranda allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Sierra Moore (180-94, college: Penn St.) responded with 10 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian Marina Markovic (185-91) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Unicaja. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Maresme. Newly promoted Estepona dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with Real Canoe and Azulejos. Unicaja will play against Sevilla (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Estepona will play against Granada (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
