Regular Season Round 6: Huelva CD - Corazon 83-86

A very close game took place in Huelva between Corazon and Huelva CD. First ranked Corazon (5-2) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd ranked Huelva CD (3-1). Corazon managed to escape with a 3-point win 86-83 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Huelva CD. The best player for the winners was Dominican Jaison Colome (190-96) who scored 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Argentinian center Vicente Garello (203) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Victor Perez (195-82) who recorded 21 points and David Blanco (186-1) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Huelva CD's coach Pedro Vadillo rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Corazon have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Corazon maintains first position in Group D-B with 5-2 record. Huelva CD at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the third place with one game lost. They share the position with San Fernando. Corazon will meet Dos Hermanas (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Huelva CD will play against Xerez (#6) in Jerez de la Frontera and hope to secure a win.
