Regular Season Round 14: Enea Zastal - Stal Ostrow 105-85

EBL top team - Zastal Enea BC (12-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked BM Slam Stal (8-6) in Zielona Gora 105-85. Zastal Enea BC shot 62.7 percent from the field. They also forced 20 BM Slam Stal turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 58.1 percentage. Zastal Enea BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by BM Slam Stal's players. Danish guard Gabriel Lundberg (193-94) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 assists. Latvian forward Janis Berzins (201-93) contributed with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Zastal Enea BC players scored in double figures. Swingman Jakub Garbacz (197-94) replied with 30 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and American guard Christopher Smith (193-94, college: Utah St.) added 24 points in the effort for BM Slam Stal. Zastal Enea BC have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-1 record. BM Slam Stal at the other side keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Zastal Enea BC are looking forward to face Start (#3) in Lublin in the next round, which may be the game of the day. BM Slam Stal will play at home against Spojnia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
