Very important is a road loss of second ranked FE Nagoya (8-6) against fourth ranked Sendai 89ers (10-4) on Saturday night. Visiting FE Nagoya was defeated by Sendai 89ers in a tough game in Sendai 68-75. Sendai 89ers made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: ASU) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) supported him with 5 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Sendai 89ers' coach Dai Oketani used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 26 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for FE Nagoya. Guard Kei Sugimoto (182-92) added 4 points and 12 assists for the guests. Sendai 89ers moved-up to second place, which they share with Ibaraki R. and Fukushima. Loser FE Nagoya dropped to the third position with six games lost. They share it with Koshigaya A. and Kumamoto V.. Sendai 89ers will again meet at home FE Nagoya (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. FE Nagoya will have a break next round.
