Regular Season Round 11: Wisla Krakow - Klodzko 96-83

Bottom-ranked Klodzko (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 96-83 loss to eleventh ranked Wisla Krakow (5-6) in Krakow on Saturday evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for forward Rafal Zglobicki (197-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Maciej Maj (203-88) helped adding 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. Wisla Krakow's coach Piotr Piecuch used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Tomasz Ochonko (183-86) responded with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and Karol Nowakowski (198-99) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Wisla Krakow have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place. Loser Klodzko still closes the standings with ten games lost. Wisla Krakow will meet higher ranked Slask 2 (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Klodzko will play against WKK Wroclaw (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
