Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Lyon (2-2) beat on the road 11th ranked Tarbes (1-5) 91-77 on Saturday. They outrebounded Tarbes 35-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. Lyon looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. International guard Marine Johannes (174-95) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and Israeli-American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: MTSU) chipped in 8 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Lyon's coach Valery Demory used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Marie Pardon (175-1, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) with 12 points and 7 assists and the former international center Ana Tadic (190-98, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with BLMA. Tarbes lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Nantes. Lyon will meet at home Roche (#8) in the next round. Tarbes will play against Villeneuve D'Ascq and hope to win that game.
