Rieti used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Pistoia 71-67 on Sunday night. The best player for the winners was American forward Steve Taylor-Jr (206-93, college: Toledo) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Naturalized American Dalton Pepper (196-90, college: Temple) chipped in 18 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was American forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) who recorded 23 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Rieti will face Ferrara (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Pistoia will play against San Severo and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
