Regular Season Round 9: Stal Ostrow 2 - Slask 3 77-94

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Stal Ostrow 2 (1-7) lost at home to ninth ranked Slask 3 (3-5) 94-77 on Sunday. Slask 3 looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for Igor Kozlowski (195-1) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Jakub Bereszynski (197-4) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Point guard Marcin Plawucki (177-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Marcin Dymala (187-90) added 19 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Stal Ostrow 2. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Slask 3 moved-up to eighth place in Group D, which they share with Koscian. Loser Stal Ostrow 2 keeps the thirteenth position with seven games lost. Slask 3 will face league's second-placed Rycerze in Rydzyna in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stal Ostrow 2 will play on the road against Nysa (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
