There was no surprise when 10th ranked Cadi La Seu (4-8) was crushed on the road by seventh ranked Gernika (7-5) 80-61. The winners were led by guard Roso Buch (179-92) who scored that evening 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Dutch guard Laura Cornelius (173-96, college: Miami, FL) supported her with 16 points. Five Gernika players scored in double figures. Even 10 points by Canadian center Quinn Urbaniak-Dornstauder (193-95, college: ASU) did not help to save the game for Cadi La Seu. Forward Gala Mestres (185-94, college: Mount Royal) added 9 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gernika moved-up to sixth place. Cadi La Seu lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. Gernika's next round opponent will be Gran Canaria (#13) in Las Palmas and are hoping to win another game. Cadi La Seu will play at home against Promete and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
