An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in San Cristobal. Top-ranked Perfumerias Avenida faced 4th ranked Clarinos. Guests from Salamanca (12-0) smashed host Clarinos (7-4) 84-55. They outrebounded Clarinos 44-25 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Perfumerias Avenida shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American-British swingman Karlie Samuelson (183-95, college: Stanford, agency: Wasserman) who scored 17 points. Bosnian-Slovenian power forward Marica Gajic (189-95) chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds. Perfumerias Avenida's coach Roberto Iniguez felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Swedish guard Kalis Loyd (188-89, college: Lamar) who recorded 17 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Tanaya Atkinson (183-96, college: Temple) added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Perfumerias Avenida have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-0 record, which they share with Valencia. Clarinos at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Perfumerias Avenida is looking forward to face league's second-placed Valencia at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Clarinos will play against ASEFA Estudiantes in Madrid and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
