Regular Season Round 15: Fukushima - Bambitious N. 92-65
Date: November 22, 2020
Very expected game when 6th ranked Bambitious N. (5-10) was crushed on the road by second ranked Fukushima (11-4) 92-65 on Sunday. Fukushima looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: NM State) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds. Finnish-American power forward Erik Murphy (208-90, college: Florida) helped adding 13 points and 10 rebounds. Five Fukushima players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Sean OMara (208-95, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-90, college: S.Carolina) scored 11 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Fukushima. They maintain second place with 11-4 record having just two points less than leader Saga B., which they share with Sendai 89ers. Bambitious N. lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with ten games lost. Fukushima will face Ibaraki R. (#4) in Mito in the next round. Bambitious N. will play at home against Nishinomiya S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
