Regular Season Round 15: Saga B. - Koshigaya A. 89-82

B2 League top team - Saga B. (12-3) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked Koshigaya A. (8-7) 89-82. Saga B. made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Kenny Lawson (207-88, college: Creighton) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Takuya Soma (181-91) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: App State) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Saga B. maintains first place with 12-3 record. Koshigaya A. lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with FE Nagoya and Kumamoto V.. Saga B. will meet Kagawa FA (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Koshigaya A. will play against Aomori W. (#8) and hope to secure a win.
