Regular Season Round 7: Clavijo - Gijon 69-56

There was no surprise in Logrono where bottom-ranked Gijon (0-4) was defeated by ninth ranked Clavijo (3-4) 69-56 on Sunday. It was a great evening for point guard Jaume Lobo (180-97) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Czech center Tomas Hampl (215-88) helped adding 12 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side guard Alejandro Marin (190-88) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Marcos Portalez (204-95) scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Clavijo moved-up to eighth place in Silver. Loser Gijon still closes the standings with four games lost. Clavijo will face CAM E.Soler (#13) in Melilla in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Gijon will play at home against Zamorano and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
