Regular Season Round 14: MKS DG - Slask 82-88
Date: November 22, 2020
Very predictable result when fifth ranked Slask (9-4) won against 15th ranked MKS DG (3-10) in Dabrowa Gornicza 88-82 on Sunday. Power forward Aleksander Dziewa (205-97, agency: Octagon Europe) notched 26 points (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American guard Elijah Stewart (196-95, college: USC) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Slask's coach Oliver Vidin used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) by American guard Lee Moore (193-95, college: UTEP, agency: Mansfield and Associates) did not help to save the game for MKS DG. The former international guard Andy Mazurczak (188-94, college: UW-Parkside) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Four MKS DG players scored in double figures. Slask moved-up to third place, which they share with Start. Loser MKS DG keeps the fifteenth position with ten games lost. Slask will meet Anwil (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. MKS DG will play against GTK (#10) in Gliwice and hope to secure a win.
