Regular Season Round 12: Zaragoza - Estudiantes 64-85
Date: November 22, 2020
No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (8-4) smashed on the road 9th ranked Zaragoza (4-6) 85-64. ASEFA Estudiantes dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Zaragoza's 36. The winners were led by American Leslie Knight (184-86, college: Minnesota) who scored that evening 19 points and Nigerian-American forward Atonye Nyingifa (180-90, college: UCLA) supported her with 12 points. Even 17 points by American-Montenegrin center Markeisha Gatling (196-92, college: NC State) did not help to save the game for Zaragoza. American guard Taylor Wurtz (183-90, college: Wisconsin) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ASEFA Estudiantes moved-up to fourth place. Zaragoza at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with six games lost. ASEFA Estudiantes' next round opponent will be Clarinos (#5) in San Cristobal. Zaragoza will play on the road against IDK Eustotren (#7) in San Sebastian and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
