Regular Season Round 6: Ragusa - Sibenik 87-64

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Ragusa as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Ragusa smashed 3rd ranked Sibenik in Dubrovnik 87-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sibenik. They outrebounded Sibenik 44-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. Ragusa looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for power forward Ana Vrsaljko (188-84) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. The former international forward Iva Todoric (174-93) contributed with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. Ragusa's coach Cvetana Matic felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International guard Josipa Silov (177-98) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and international Ivana Ujevic (176-0) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Sibenik. Ragusa have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Zagreb and Tresnjevka. Sibenik at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Medvescak. Sibenik will play next round against strong Split trying to get back on the winning streak. Ragusa will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Pula on the road.
