Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Tychy (8-4) defeated 10th ranked Miasto Szkla (5-4) in Krosno 100-94 on Wednesday. Tychy made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. Tychy had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. Miasto Szkla was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Kacper Makowski (196-99) who led his team to a victory with 28 points. Guard Filip Stryjewski (193-99) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Dariusz Oczkowicz (182-81) replied with 21 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Alan Czujkowski (199-90, agency: Promotex) added 23 points in the effort for Miasto Szkla. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tychy maintains fourth position with 8-4 record. Loser Miasto Szkla dropped to the eighth place with four games lost. Tychy will face Pruszkow (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Miasto Szkla will play against Slask 2 (#5) and hope to win that game.
