Regular Season Round 9: Alpo - Sarcedo 75-56

There was a small surprise in Verona where ninth ranked Alpo (4-4) smashed 7th ranked Sarcedo (4-4) 75-56 on Saturday. They outrebounded Sarcedo 44-29 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Veronica DellOlio (185-93) stepped up and scored 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and point guard Anastasia Conte (174-0, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 13 points. The best for the losing side was swingman Irene Pieropan (175-91) with 12 points and 4 assists and guard Michela Battilotti (172-0) scored 6 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Alpo moved-up to seventh place in A2. Alpo will face Milano (#8) on the road in the next round. Sarcedo will play against Bolzano BC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
