Regular Season Round 12: Pelplin - Dziki Wwa 92-74

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Pelplin (5-7) beat higher ranked Dziki Wwa (5-5) in Pelpin 92-74 on Saturday. Pelplin looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for point guard Pawel Dzierzak (188-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds, 14 assists and 4 steals. Marcin Dutkiewicz (198-86) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Pelplin players scored in double figures. Point guard Grzegorz Grochowski (180-93) replied with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and the former international Piotr Pamula (195-90) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Dziki Wwa. Dziki Wwa's coach Piotr Bakun rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Pelplin moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Wisla Krakow. Dziki Wwa at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Pelplin will face Kolobrzeg (#13) on the road in the next round.
