There was a surprise result when eighth ranked UR Krakow (4-4) beat at home higher ranked MKS DG 2 (6-3) 67-55 on Saturday. Power forward Tomasz Palmowski (201-97) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Mateusz Nowacki (198-99) chipped in 8 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. UR Krakow's coach Marek Paulisch allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side point guard Pawel Jurczynski (183-91) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Kamil Wojciak (193-85) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. UR Krakow moved-up to seventh place, which they share with AZS UJK. Loser MKS DG 2 keeps the fourth position with three games lost. UR Krakow will face AZS PWSTE (#8) in Jaroslaw in the next round. MKS DG 2 will play on the road against the league's second-placed Polonia Bytom (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
