No shocking result in a game in Barcelona where top-ranked Maresme (6-0) outleveled 9th ranked Casablanca (2-5) 64-42 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mireia Vila (183-91, college: St.Joseph's) who helped to win the game recording 6 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Cristina Hurtado (187-92) who added 11 points during the contest. Forward Beatriz Bollullo (181-93) responded with 9 points and forward Beatriz Royo (176-91) scored 3 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Maresme have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group C with 6-0 record having 2 victories less than leader Ferrol. Loser Casablanca keeps the ninth place with five games lost. Maresme will face Sant Josep (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Casablanca will play against Segle XXI and hope to win that game.
