Top ranked Saga B. (12-4) recorded its fourth loss in Takamatsu on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by eighth ranked Kagawa FA (5-11) 93-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Saga B.. They outrebounded Saga B. 43-31 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kagawa FA looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Saga B. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) fired 39 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American center Kenny Lawson (207-88, college: Creighton) produced 23 points and 6 rebounds and Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) added 7 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Saga B.'s coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Kagawa FA maintains eighth position with 5-11 record. Saga B. at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. They share the position with Sendai 89ers. Kagawa FA are again looking forward to face league's leader Saga B. at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Saga B. will have a break next round.
