The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Saga B. (12-5) in Takamatsu on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Kagawa FA (6-11) 93-78. Kagawa FA had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Kagawa FA especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points and 4 assists. Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Kagawa FA's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and Argentinian Marcos Mata (200-86) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Saga B.Four Saga B. players scored in double figures. Kagawa FA have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Yamagata. Saga B. at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. They share it with Sendai 89ers and Ibaraki R.. Kagawa FA is looking forward to face higher ranked Nishinomiya S. (#5) in Hyogo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Saga B. will play at home against FE Nagoya (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
