Regular Season Round 16: Tochigi B. - Kawasaki BT 60-67

Very important is a home loss of first ranked Tochigi B. (14-2) against fifth ranked Toshiba Thunders (11-5) on Wednesday night. Host Tochigi B. was defeated by Toshiba Thunders in a tough game in Tochigi 60-67. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Tochigi B.. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Toshiba Thunders players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Tochigi B.'s players. The winners were led by international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Spanish Pablo Aguilar (203-89) supported him with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Even 10 points and 7 rebounds by international forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) did not help to save the game for Tochigi B.. American power forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) added 8 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Sea Horses M. Tochigi B. at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Toshiba Thunders will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tochigi B. will play on the road against Osaka E. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
