Top ranked Gimle BBK (9-2) recorded its second loss in Bergen on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Baerum Basket (8-4) 81-74. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Gimle BBK. Baerum Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) fired a double-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international forward Sjur Berg (201-96, college: Alaska-Anch.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. The former international guard Eivind Lamo (200-96) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Espen Fjaerestad (193-94, college: UW-Parkside) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Four Gimle BBK players scored in double figures. Baerum Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 8-4 record. Gimle BBK at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Froya Basket. Baerum Basket are looking forward to face Tromso (#7) on the road in the next round. Gimle BBK will have a break next round.
