Regular Season Round 13: Kalev/Cramo - Tartu 110-46

Rather predictable result in Tallinn where third ranked Kalev/Cramo (8-2) smashed 7th ranked Tartu (4-6) 110-46 on Wednesday. Kalev/Cramo held Tartu to an opponent 23.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 62.1 percent accuracy of the winners and made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Kalev/Cramo outrebounded Tartu 49-22 including a 36-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Tartu's players. The former international center Rauno Nurger (208-93, college: Wichita St.) stepped up and scored 32 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all thirteen shots !!!) for the winners and the former international Martin Dorbek (194-91) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Kalev/Cramo players scored in double figures. At the losing side Hendrik Eelmae (200-0) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Lithuanian Tomas Balciunas (204-0) scored 3 points and 10 rebounds. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Kalev/Cramo. They maintain third place with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader VEF Riga, which they share with Ventspils. Tartu lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with six games lost. Kalev/Cramo will face league's second-placed Parnu on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tartu will play against Tarvas (#7) in Rakvere and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
