The game between closely ranked teams ended with second-ranked Legia 2's (7-3) road loss to first ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (8-1) 57-89 on Wednesday. Tur Bielsk Pdl. dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Legia 2's 30. They outrebounded Legia 2 44-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Tur Bielsk Pdl. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Legia 2's players. The best player for the winners was center Filip Pruefer (208-96) who scored 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Forward Lukasz Kuczynski (196-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Four Tur Bielsk Pdl. players scored in double figures. Point guard Wojciech Szpyrka (178-98) produced 12 points and center Dominik Groth (201-0) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Tur Bielsk Pdl.. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. Legia 2 lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the third position with three games lost. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will face Pabianice (#13) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Legia 2 will play against LKS Lodz (#7) and hope to win that game.
