Twelfth-ranked Kalev/TLU (1-10) gave a tough game to second ranked Parnu (10-2) in Tallinn on Wednesday. The visitors from Parnu managed to secure only three-point victory 74-71. However their fans expected much easier game. Parnu made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Kalev/TLU helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Finnish point guard Edon Maxhuni (188-98, college: LBSU) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners and Robert Valge (193-97) chipped in 19 points. Parnu's coach Heiko Rannula used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American Brandis Raley-Ross (190-87, college: S.Carolina) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Karl-Johan Lips (200-96) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Parnu have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 10-2 record having just two point less than leader VEF Riga. Kalev/TLU lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with ten games lost. Parnu are looking forward to face Kalev/Cramo (#3) in Tallinn in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kalev/TLU will play again on the road against the league's second-placed Parnu (#2) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
