Regular Season Round 13: Pruszkow - Dziki Wwa 81-72

There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Pruszkow (5-8) won against at home higher ranked Dziki Wwa (6-6) 81-72 on Wednesday. Pruszkow looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Roman Janik (185-95) stepped up and scored 32 points for the winners and point guard January Sobczak (177-97) chipped in 11 points and 9 assists. Janik is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side point guard Grzegorz Grochowski (180-93) responded with 18 points and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and swingman Michal Wojtynski (193-89) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Dziki Wwa players scored in double figures. Dziki Wwa's coach Pawel Turkiewicz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pruszkow moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Dziki Wwa dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Pruszkow will face bottom-ranked Klodzko (#16) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
