Regular Season Round 13: WKK Wroclaw - Czarni 71-87

The most interesting game of round 13 in the 1Liga was a home defeat of 3rd placed WKK Wroclaw (10-3) by second ranked Czarni (11-2) who outscored them by 16 points 87-71. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Czarni looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Center Dawid Slupinski (206-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and guard Adrian Kordalski (185-95) chipped in 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Czarni players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Jakub Koelner (183-93) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and forward Szymon Kiwilsza (201-97) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Czarni have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Walbrzych. WKK Wroclaw at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. Czarni is looking forward to face Slask 2 (#5) in Wroclaw in the next round. WKK Wroclaw will play on the road against Prudnik and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
