Regular Season Round 15: Stal Ostrow - Spojnia 98-105

An interesting game took place in Ostrow Wlkp. where higher ranked BM Slam Stal (8-7) was upset on its own court by tenth ranked Spojnia (7-7) 105-98. Spojnia dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to BM Slam Stal's 32. It was a great shooting night for Spojnia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Ricky Tarrant (188-93, college: Memphis) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 assists. His fellow American import guard Raymond Cowels-III (191-91, college: Santa Clara) contributed with 22 points for the winners. American-Georgian point guard Taurean Green (184-85, college: Florida, agency: Green Sports Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 assists and American guard Christopher Smith (193-94, college: Utah St.) added 29 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for BM Slam Stal. Five Spojnia and four BM Slam Stal players scored in double figures. Spojnia moved-up to seventh place. BM Slam Stal lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Spojnia's next round opponent will be higher ranked Start (#4) in Lublin and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
