Regular Season Round 15: Hunan - Wuhan 95-97

The most exciting game of round 15 in the NBL took place in Changsha. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 7th ranked Hunan (6-8) to fourth ranked Wuhan (10-4) 97-95 on Friday evening. Wuhan made 28-of-33 free shots (84.8 percent) during the game. Wuhan outrebounded Hunan 54-33 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. 28 personal fouls committed by Hunan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Rongxiao Sun (202-95) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Center Hao Su (200-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was center Guodong Ma (213-98) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and center JunQi Jiang (202-90) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Wuhan have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 10-4 record. Hunan at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Wuhan are looking forward to face Henan (#8) on the road in the next round. Hunan will play against Chongqing in Lanling and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
