Regular Season Round 9: Norrkoping - Nassjo 73-68

An interesting game for Norrkoping Dolphins (7-2) which hosted in Norrkoping 3rd placed Nassjo (4-3). First ranked Norrkoping Dolphins managed to get a 5-point victory 73-68. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-13. But Nassjo won second period 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nassjo was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Kamau Stokes (183-95, college: Kansas St.) stepped up and scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and international Adam Ramstedt (208-95) chipped in 25 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Stokes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach Mikko Riipinen allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American center Dartaye Ruffin (205-91, college: Drexel, agency: Dynamics Global Management) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and forward David Hook (198-99, college: E.Wyoming) scored 10 points. Four Nassjo players scored in double figures. Norrkoping Dolphins have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-2 record. Nassjo at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Jamtland. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against KFUM Jamtland (#6) in Ostersund in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nassjo will play at home against Umea and hopes to get back on the winning track.
