Very expected game when 6th ranked Trefl 2 Sopot (3-5) was defeated at home by first ranked Notec Inowr. (8-1) 70-66 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was center Bartosz Muda (202-96) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Aleksander Filipiak (185-90) chipped in 8 points, 7 assists and 6 steals. Notec Inowr.'s coach Piotr Wisniewski allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Daniel Ziolkowski (195-2) produced 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Lukasz Klawa (203-1) added 12 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Trefl 2 Sopot players scored in double figures. Notec Inowr. maintains first place with 8-1 record, which they share with Tur Bielsk Pdl. Loser Trefl 2 Sopot dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Notec Inowr. will face Astoria 2 (#10) in Bydgoszcz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Trefl 2 Sopot will play on the road against Gniezno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
