The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Miedzychod as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Zary) loss. Miedzychod smashed 11th ranked Poznan at home 86-58. Miedzychod forced 22 Poznan turnovers. Jakub Simon (202-96) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Swingman Jakub Nowak (186-89) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Miedzychod players scored in double figures. Swingman Szymon Sobiech (196-2) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Iwo Mackowiak (196-3) added 14 points in the effort for Poznan. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Miedzychod. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Poznan keeps the eleventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Kutno. Poznan will play next round against strong Tarnovia trying to get back on the winning streak. Miedzychod will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Sudety at Jelenia Gora.
