Akita Happinets made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Alex Davis (206-92, college: Fresno St.) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. The former international swingman Takatoshi Furukawa (190-87) chipped in 16 points. Furukawa is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Akita Happinets' coach Kenzo Maeda used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit) produced 23 points and the other American import power forward Jamari Traylor (203-92, college: Kansas) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Akita Happinets maintains seventh place with 9-8 record. Dragonflies lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. Akita Happinets will face again Dragonflies (#8) in Hiroshima in the next round.
