Regular Season Round 13: Tsmoki II - Rubon 67-90

The game in Minsk supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Rubon (7-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Tsmoki II (3-7). Rubon smashed Tsmoki II 90-67. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Rubon's pressure prevailed and they won that period 27-11 extending their advantage to 23 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Tsmoki II's 30. They outrebounded Tsmoki II 47-30 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Rubon players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Victor Ovsepyan (202-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Ruslan Pishcheyko (198-98) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Rubon players scored in double figures. Swingman Illia Milasheuski (187-4) answered with 13 points and 7 assists and forward Arseni Tugarinov (198-2) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Tsmoki II. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Rubon. They maintain fourth place with 7-4 record. Tsmoki II lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Rubon will play against league's leader Grodno at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tsmoki II's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Impuls BGUIR Minsk.
