Regular Season Round 11: LKS Lodz - AZS UMCS 59-79

Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked LKS Lodz (5-5) was outplayed at home by leader AZS UMCS (7-0) 79-59 on Saturday. AZS UMCS dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to LKS Lodz's 18. AZS UMCS forced 23 LKS Lodz turnovers. The best player for the winners was swingman Karol Obarek (194-93) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Szymon Jaworski (183-98) chipped in 23 points. Four AZS UMCS players scored in double figures. Swingman Piotr Keller (185-1) produced 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Jacek Gwardecki (199-94) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for AZS UMCS. They moved-up to second place. LKS Lodz lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with five games lost. AZS UMCS will face Kutno (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. LKS Lodz will play against Legia 2 (#3) in Warszawa and hope to win that game.
