Bottom-ranked Pinheiros is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to thirteenth ranked Campo Mourao (2-5) 79-66 on Saturday evening. The winners were led by American guard Anton Cook (189-95, college: SE Oklahoma) who scored that evening 20 points and 7 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Stefano Pierotti (185-98) supported him with 15 points and 6 assists. Even 7 points and 7 rebounds by the former international Guilherme Teichmann (204-83, college: Tulsa) did not help to save the game for Pinheiros. The former international guard Humberto Silva (196-95) added 10 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Campo Mourao moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Pato Basquete. Loser Pinheiros still closes the standings with six games lost. Campo Mourao will meet higher ranked Vivo/Franca (#6) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Pinheiros will play against Cerrado (#15) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
