No shocking result in a game when second ranked Polonia Bytom (9-1) smashed at home 4th placed MKS DG 2 (6-4) 86-66 on Saturday. They outrebounded MKS DG 2 44-30 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Emil Podkowinski (194-88) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Marcin Salamonik (202-83) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Polonia Bytom players scored in double figures. Power forward Przemyslaw Paduch (201-3) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Kamil Wojciak (193-85) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Polonia Bytom maintains second place with 9-1 record having just three point less than leader Notec Inowr. Loser MKS DG 2 keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Polonia Bytom will face AZS PWSTE (#6) in Jaroslaw in the next round. MKS DG 2 will play on the road against Bielsko-Biala and hope to win that game.
