A very interesting game took place in Brasilia. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 15th ranked Cerrado (1-7) to seventh ranked Fortaleza (5-3) 75-73 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The former international forward Felipe Ribeiro (203-79) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Desmond Holloway (194-90, college: Coastal) chipped in 19 points. Guard Paulo Da-Costa (193-94) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and American JC Fuller (194-94, college: W.Illinois, agency: Slash Sports) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Cerrado's coach Bruno Lopes tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Fortaleza have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 5-3 record. Cerrado lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth place with seven games lost. Fortaleza will have a break next round. Cerrado will play on the road against Pinheiros (#16) in Sao Paulo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
