Regular Season Round 3: Cd'Orlando - Udine 95-98

Important game to mention about took place in Capo d'Orlando. Top-ranked Udine (4-0) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Cd'Orlando (1-2) 98-95 on Saturday evening. Cd'Orlando was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Nazzareno Italiano (198-91) notched 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Marco Giuri (196-88) supported him with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Udine's coach Matteo Boniciolli allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) by American swingman Xavier Johnson (201-93, college: Colorado) did not help to save the game for Cd'Orlando. His fellow American import guard Jordan Floyd (188-97, college: King) added 26 points and 12 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Five Udine and four Cd'Orlando players scored in double figures. Udine maintains second position in A2 with 4-0 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Scafati. Cd'Orlando at the other side dropped to the tenth place with two games lost. Udine will play against Casale (#6) at home in the next round. Cd'Orlando will play against Bergamo (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
