Regular Season Round 16: Hebei - Foshan 73-91

Very expected game when 10th ranked Hebei (1-13) lost at home to fifth ranked Foshan (9-5) 91-73 on Saturday. Foshan dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Hebei's 34. Foshan forced 20 Hebei turnovers. The winners were led by forward Zihao Liu (198-93) who scored that evening 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and center QI Liu (205-96) supported him with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Even 17 points by swingman Yaofeng Wang (198-99) did not help to save the game for Hebei. Swingman Yusheng Chen (195-99) added 12 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Foshan have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Foshan maintains fifth position with 9-5 record. Hebei lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 13 games lost. Foshan will meet at home Henan (#8) in the next round. Hebei will play against Luoyang and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
