Undefeated Valencia-2 (7-1) recorded its first loss on the court of third ranked Lliria on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Lliria 63-53. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Valencia-2. They outrebounded Valencia-2 41-25 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Sergio Padilla (195-99) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds and British forward Liam McGuirk (194-96) who added 10 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Guard Guillem Ferrando (185-2) responded with 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Rafael Vila (195-1) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lliria maintains third position in Group E-A with 6-1 record having just nine point less than leader Mataro. Loser Valencia-2 still keeps top place with one game lost. They share the position with Paterna. Lliria will meet Aldaia (#6) on the road in the next round. Valencia-2 will play against the league's leader Paterna (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
