Undefeated Tur Bielsk Pdl. (8-1) recorded its first loss in Ostrow Mazowiecki on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked Ostrow Mazow. (7-3) 69-67. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Tur Bielsk Pdl.. It was a great evening for center Lukasz Paul (205-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Ukrainian point guard Aleksander Szczerbatiuk (177-96) helped adding 18 points and 6 assists. Ostrow Mazow.'s coach Grzegorz Helcbergiel used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Lukasz Kuczynski (196-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 18 rebounds and forward Rafal Krol (197-87) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Ostrow Mazow. moved-up to third place, which they share with Sudety and Legia 2. Tur Bielsk Pdl. at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Notec Inowr.. Ostrow Mazow. will meet Zyrardow (#5) on the road in the next round. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will play against Pabianice (#13) and hope to secure a win.
