We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Tokyo where 5th ranked Koshigaya A. (8-8) was defeated by sixth ranked Yamagata (7-11) 88-75 on Saturday. Yamagata looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Andrew Randall (198-90, college: Temple) scored 25 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Lance Goulbourne (203-89, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in 9 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: App State) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St., agency: SDJ Sports) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Koshigaya A. players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Yamagata maintains sixth position with 7-11 record. Koshigaya A. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost. Yamagata will have a break next round.
