Very expected game in Mirandola where bottom-ranked Mantova (0-3) was defeated by seventh ranked Treviglio (2-1) 73-67 on Saturday. Treviglio had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard JJ Frazier (178-95, college: Georgia) scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Slovenian forward Mitja Nikolic (200-91) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Four Treviglio players scored in double figures. Treviglio's coach Devis Cagnardi used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American center David Weaver (208-87, college: Wake Forest) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Christian James (194-96, college: Oklahoma) scored 15 points. Treviglio moved-up to fourth place in A2. Loser Mantova still closes the standings with three games lost. Treviglio will face league's leader Tortona on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Mantova will play against Orzinuovi (#13) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
